I had previously drilled lightning holes in one of the flaperon
counterweights. It was time to do the remaining counterweight.
These suckers are steel and it's not a lot of fun to drill them with a
hole bit.
First I drilled 1/4" starter holes. |

Then I drilled the top 1" diameter hole.

Finally, I drilled the 2" diameter hole. I used a hole bit in the
drill press and lots of cutting oil. Messy job.
