I wanted to re-arrange the hangar a little so I pushed the RV outside for the first time with the wings on. Mike Regen came over -- via his RV-7A -- to give me a hand. |

The RV really looks good out in the
sunlight -- even though it is covered with dust. Can't wait to see
how it looks with spinner, cowl and rudder
on.

| There's Mike on the left. | ||||||

| Mike safetied the front spar bolts. | ||||||
|
||||||
| And filled the gaps between engine and baffles with high-temp RTV. | ||||||

We flew over to Millville, NJ and back. Mike let me fly the whole way. I was really rusty at first, but soon felt comfortable. Hopefully it won't be too much longer until I have my own ride. I had never really operated a constant speed prop before. I had read about it, but there's no substitute for the real thing. Here's Mike's RV grin, just about to RTB (return to base). |

Mike's RV-7A is similar to mine in
that we both have Mattituck engines and constant speed props. The
differences are that his is IFR-capable, and a slider canaopy and then of
course the nose wheel.

| The RV climbing ability is impressive. I took this crummy picture standing at mid-field. | ||||||
