September 17, 2005 - Aft Fuse

I was supposed to fly the Citabria in the South Jersey All Grass All Day tour today but it was cancelled for weather.  So I worked on the RV all day.  Most of it was de-vinyling, deburring and dimpling the three aft fuselage skins, J-stringers, and bulkheads.  This is a one of the side skins, nice and devinyled.
Deburring.  Feel the joy.
Deburring a bulkhead.
The replacement tailwheel spring bracket arrived from Vans.  I was very careful drilling the holes this time and they came out perfect.
On the original part, this hole was pre-drilled, but I get to do it this time.  I didn't want to ruin the bracket again so I was as careful as I could, using the drill press and securing the bracket.
I used bungee cords to secure the bracket to the pedestal.
