February 2, 2007 - Aft Canopy

The front canopy is on hold until I get the new canopy frame channels from Vans.  So I started working on the aft canopy.  First I clecoed on the two aft top skins.  Then  I placed the rear section on the fuselage and marked the aft top skin line.
Looking front to back.  It's too bad the lighting is so bad in the shop.  This is the first time I've had the top skins on since the empennage has been attached.  It's really starting to look like an airplane.
The aft canopy just sitting on the fuse so I can get an idea where to make the first rough cut.
Just before making the first rough cut.  Everything is taped up.  I'm going to cut along the green line.
After the cut and smoothing.
From the side.
More bottom skin riveting.  We do about 30-45 minutes at a time.
