February 27, 2007 - Forward Canopy

First I drilled all the holes in the canopy frame side weldments and channel frames to #27 and deburred.

Then I put the canopy back on, and screwed it down with three #6 flush screws on each side.  This was so I could fit the side skirts as shown.  They needed a little trimming on the back and about 1/8" off the top.

Note:  A few days later I realized it would have been better to wait to trim the top of the side skirts.   The canopy gets removed later and then it's easy to see where to trim the top of the side skirt.

Some people cut the canopy skin "ears" off but I think I'll leave mine on.  We'll see.
