This is a map of Yoho National Park, just west of Banff National Park and Lake Louise, which we would be visiting this afternoon. The Trans-Canada Highway and the original Canadian Pacific Railroad runs through it. Our first stop in Yoho NP would be Emerald Lake. |

| Looking across the lake. We wondered what caused the treeless gap on the mountain. Later we would find out it was caused by an avalanche. | ||||||
