Sebastian

Vacation in Sebastian, Florida.  Relaxing at the Tiki Bar.  This is what it's all about!

After Bruce and I visited the Valiant Air Command Aircraft Museum and the girls shopped in Titusville, we had lunch at the Fish Camp Grill in Cocoa Beach.

Fun place.

Yay, Fish Camp

One day we checked out Skydive Sebastian, at the Sebastian Airport.

They have a little bar there, where we partook of some cold beverages,

and watched the sky divers float down.

There was some sort of practice clinic going on, where the sky divers practiced formation flying with their canopys open.

Probably our favorite place to eat when down in Sebastian is C.J. Cannons, located at the Vero Beach Airport.

Trying to decide what to have at C.J. Cannons.

The entrance area is decorated with all sorts of art, pictures, artifacts, you name it.

Lynnette having fun tickling the ivory.

Our favorite spot during the day has to be the Tiki Bar overlooking the Indian River.

Quite a few of our favorite watering holes are on the Indian River in Sebastian.

Colorful side of the Mel Fisher Treasure Museum.

We had breakfast one morning at Earl's Hideaway Lounge.  Interesting!

We had a fun dinner one night at the Lazy Turtle.

Sitting in "The Boat" at Captain Hiram's.

Lynnette and I tried to have breakfast at the Treasure Coast Airport Tiki restaurant in Ft. Pierce, but it was closed -- the cook called in sick.

I flew into Treasure Coast Airport ten years ago for the Bahamas Trip.  It used to be called St. Lucie County (KFPR), but even then everyone called it Ft. Pierce Airport.  I remember liking the breakfast we had at the airport restaurant then and wanted to try it again today, but it was not to be.  We ended up having a very nice breakfast in downtown Ft. Pierce.

Bruce's Dad serviced on the USS Card, an escort carrier, during World War II.  I made him a little model of the Card and Bruce put it on his "I Love Me" wall in the garage.

Close-up of the USS Card model.  It came out fairly well if I do say so myself.
