October 27, 2020 - Branson, Missouri

I didn't know much about Branson other than it was a big music town where country/western stars had their shows.  I had pictured it on the Missouri flatlands.  Instead, it was in the Ozark mountains!  It turned out to be more of a vacation town like Pigeon Forge, Tennessee although it did have a lot of musictheaters.  It rained during our visit in Branson but we still had a good time, seeing two shows, touring the Butterfly Palace and driving around the town.

We had a great breakfast at Billy Gail's:  best breakfast of the entire trip.

We decided to check out the Butterfly Palace.

You carry around a nectar stick and the butterflies come to you.

A big one lands on Lynnette.

Make you rown butterfly nectar!

Two-fer!

This one had just emerged from its cocoon; it is flexing its wings for the first time.

Good-looking butterfly!

They had this mirror-maze with a lot of green.  Somehow we made it through.

The Butterfly Palace was on top of a hill.  As you can see, the weather in Branson was not the best.

We went to a show where they performed 60s and 70s hits.  Across the street from the theater was the Titannic!

In the evening, we went to another show featuring Frank Sinatra, Johnny Cash, Elvis Presley and the Blues Brothers.  The singers were amazing; they sang and acted like the real deal.
