France June 2016 - Melun

We stayed overnight at a very nice B&B in the town of Melun, only a few miles to the west of Chateaux de Vaux le Vicomte.  From the outside, the B&B doesn't look like much.

But this is the courtyard behind the facade.

When we had the chance to look down on French townhouses, most of them were like this:  non-descript from the front with beautiful gardens and landscaping in the back.

This B&B had a very nice library.  Unfortunately for me, all the books were in French.

Melun sits on the river Seine.
